G Phactory and Tru Speed Motorsports Join Forces

February 6, 2011 - G-Phactory Kart Racing, long-time distributor for the Sodi Kart product line, is pleased to announce their new partnership with TruSpeed Motorsports (www.TruSpeed.com).  Looking to bridge the gap from karting to the often scary world of professional motorsports, G-Phactory and TruSpeed will implement a driver development and placement program as they look to help aspiring race car drivers make the next step up the motorsports ladder.

"I couldn't be any more excited to be working with all of the guys at TruSpeed," expressed G-Phactory President Preston Newberry. "They have welcomed us with open arms and I am confident that this will turn into a great program for all of us. We have some great programs in the works for 2012 and beyond and we will be rolling those out very shortly. It has been a crazy process to finalize everything with all of the racing going on right now but things are getting sorted and we encourage everyone to come check out our new home."

TruSpeed Motorsports is one of the leading Porsche supported race teams in the United States and is accustomed to winning. Having claimed the World Challenge GT class championship with former karter Patrick Long in 2011, TruSpeed will welcome the SuperKarts! USA (SKUSA) KZ2 winning team with open arms.

Kosmic 2012 Racing Team

Kosmic Kart Racing Department’s official team 2012 made its début on last week. All drivers engaged in the present season have just ended a two-day test session, on last Thursday and Friday at the South Garda Circuit of Lonato. 
The team is confirming to have young talents ready to compete at high level in the scheduled world competitions, as it was in the past with the two-times world champion Marco Ardigò. 
The professional and fast driver Armand Convers will be the coach of a promising group of drivers which will have at their disposition Mercury and Lynx chassis powered by Vortex engines.

Winter Cup Hits Capacity

Lonato (Brescia Italy), 24th January 2012.  The 17th edition of the Winter Cup begins with a "sold out": entrants are no longer accepted in any of the three categories. There are 288 drivers ready to get onto the track of the South Garda Karting of Lonato, that is the maximum number allowed: there are 108 drivers in KF2, 108 in KF3 and 72 in KZ2. But the most striking figure is that of the drivers who applied for the race: 360, a veritable record number! So, the first appointment of the season, which traditionally begins with the Winter Cup, seems to have all the potentialities of a great show, especially in the great international events such as the Winter Cup itself.

VPD and DR Racing Joins Forces

Successful Austrian-based kart team VPD Racing begins an exciting new partnership for the 2012 season as they join forces with well-known Italian chassis producer DR Racing.

VPD Racing will change its corporate colours to represent DR Racing, which makes the move into Rotax competition on an international level for the first time in its short 3-year history. The amalgamation of one of Europe’s significant Rotax-powered teams together with five times world karting champion Danilo Rossi has the obvious potential to bring the increasingly popular DR Racing Kart to the fore-front in the 125cc Max classes, as they actively combine their extensive knowledge and experience.

Tony Kart and KTR Join Forces in Formula Renault 2.0

The Tony Kart Racing Team and the KTR Team will be collaborating to create a formative program for young talented drivers wishing to step into single-seaters.

The cooperation between the Tony Kart Racing Team and KTR started when two promising young drivers, Yu Kanamaru and Ignazio D’Agosto, both official Tony Kart Racing Team drivers in 2011, did an excellent job during recent collective tests with the Formula Renault 2.0 single-seaters lined up by the Belgian team led by Kurt Mollekens.

ROK CUP Canada Adds ROK GP Category

With 2012 around the corner the ROK CUP Canada is pleased to be one of the first major Canadian series to announce its plans for a new exciting 2012 program. This years biggest change will be the addition of the ROK GP Category which will run in addition to the existing ROK SR and Junior classes.
